The four-day program is designed for superintendents. Superintendents are encouraged to bring additional licensed administrators, and other supervisory staff, as appropriate.
The program's design includes an in-depth review and analysis of Vermont legal cases by participants. In addition, attendees will problem solve, review legal and regulatory frameworks associated with these topics, discuss administrative support and accountability, as well as policy implications.
The intent behind the program is to provide increased education to school leaders in the prevention and proper processing of risk management issues. If not properly handled, these issues can be time consuming and costly relative to finances, individual and institutional credibility, school and community culture, and focus on student learning.
